The Baleares Gypsy Tie x Tie Dye Top in Sand Bandhani is all kinds of pretty. The Baleares sisters (tie top, crop top and skirt) are true free spirits who came to Ibiza and stayed. Gathering for evenings under the stars and picnics on the beach, the sisters meet to swim every morning in the turquoise cove they’ve been visiting since they were young.
 
The Gypsy Baleares Tie Dye Top is the oldest sister, and the wildest. She can rein it in during the day, wearing her Baleares crop top, a simple black cami or a white tank under those gorgeous folds of fabric, but by night it’s a different story – a tiny lace bra or nothing at all.
 
She loves to dance barefoot on the beach, finding herself in the rhythm of the waves, sing karaoke in the enchanted gardens of an elegant bar, or twirl and stomp her way through a fiesta, the maze of old town streets alive with the smell of gunpowder and jasmine.

FABRIC + CARE

Bandhani, the first ever tie dye technique, originated in Rajasthan and Gujarat thousands of years ago. Bandhani – meaning “to bind or to tie” is the preserve of craftspeople who spend years perfecting their art. We work with traditional artisans in Jaipur (The Pink City), who learnt how to dye each piece by hand from their fathers and forefathers. We experimented with several tie dye designs – from tiny dots to large circles – before settling on this more minimal look.

We made this tie dye top in silk crepe; light, lustrous and soft to the touch.
We recommend dry cleaning to give your top the very best care. Alternatively, hand wash it separately in cold water with a delicate detergent and hang dry. 
Please avoid spraying perfume or deodorant on the top. Keep out of direct sunlight to keep the colour strong and preserve the natural life of the silk crepe.
